अध्यापिका : बच्चों, तुम क्यों लड़ रहे हो?
अमन : मैडम, शांति ने मेरी अभ्यास-पुस्तिका छीनी।
शांति : नहीं मैडम, अमन झूठ बोल रहा है।
अध्यापिका : लड़ाई बंद करो। तुम्हें अपनी ऊर्जा लड़ने में व्यर्थ नहीं करनी चाहिए। उसे सही दिशा में लगाओ।
अगर तुम अपनी कक्षा में ही शांति नहीं रख सकते, तो विश्व में शांति कैसे रख सकते हो।
अमन : मैडम, विश्व में शांति का क्या अर्थ है?
अध्यापिका : ‘विश्व में शांति’ का अर्थ जानने से पहले, क्या तुम मुझे ‘word’ का अर्थ बता सकते हो?
अमन : हाँ मैडम, world’ का अर्थ है- ‘दुनिया’ या ‘संसार’।
अध्यापिका : बहुत अच्, अब मुझे बताओ ‘peace’ क्या है?
शांति : मैडम, ‘peace’ का अर्थ है ‘शांति’।।
अध्यापिका : बहुत अच्छा, अगर तुम शांति बनाना चाहते हो, तो अपने घर से ही शुरूआत करो। अपने घर में
लड़ो मत। अपने दोस्तों, पड़ोसियों या आसपास किसी से भी झगड़ा मत करो।
अमन और शांति : जी मैडम।
अध्यापिका : तो झगड़ा बंद करो और अपने आसपास शांति बनाए रखने का प्रयास करो।
अमन और शांति : ठीक है मैडम, हम समाज में शांति बनाए रखने का प्रयास करेंगे।

अध्यापिका : अब तुम्हें दोनों शब्दों का अर्थ पता है-world’ और ‘peace’. अब मैं दोनों को जोड़कर तुम्हें इनकी
| परिभाषा देती हूँ। ‘word peace’ का अर्थ है सभी लोगों में खुशी, स्वतत्रंता और शांति। ‘world
peace’ का अर्थ है ‘विश्व में सामंजस्य लाना’ ।
अमन : मैडम, ‘सामंजस्य क्या है? ।
अध्यापिका : ‘सामंजस्य’ शब्द का अर्थ है-‘सहयोग, संतुलन और समन्वय’। इस सामंजस्य को भंग करने के बहुत सारे कारक हैं।
अमन अमन : मैडम कृपया हमें इन कारकों के बाद में बताइए। अध्यापिका : ठीक है, मैं तुम्हें इन कारकों के बारे में बताती हूँ। ‘विश्व शांति’ दो मुख्य कारकों से भंग होती है। पहला
है युद्ध और आतंकवाद । युद्ध और आतकंवाद हिंसा के  कृत्य हैं जो हमारी पीढ़ी को भावनात्मक और मनोवैज्ञानिक तौर पर प्रभावित करते हैं। दूसरा कारक जो ‘विश्व शांति’ को भंग करता है वह है। जाति, संप्रदाय, रंग और धर्म के आधार पर लड़ाई। इसलिए इन कारकों को खत्म करके और मानवता का सम्मान करके हम इस दुनिया को रहने का एक बेहतर स्थान बना सकते हैं।
अमन : ठीक है मैडम, हम प्रयास करेंगे।
अध्यापिका : अब मैं तुम्हें बताने जा रही हूँ कि विश्व में तुम शांति किस तरीके से बना सकते हो। क्या तुमने कभी ये शब्द पढ़ा है-‘वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्’?
अमन और शांति : नहीं मैडम ! हमें इसके बारे में कोई जानकारी नहीं है।
अध्यापिका : ठीक है मैं तुम्हें बताती हूँ। “वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्’ एक संस्कृत का वाक्यांश है जो तीन शब्दों से मिलकर
बना है : वसुधा, एव और कुटुम्बकम जिनका अर्थ है कि पृथ्वी और विश्व एक परिवार है। इसलिए ‘विश्व शांति पाने के लिए हमें सारे विश्व को एक परिवार समझना चाहिए
